I never intended starting a blog about 'literature'. I love reading as some of you may know, but I do so very slowly and only when I'm traveling by train. I can start loads of books and stories and never really manage to finish them.
But in my strive for originality I noticed that I've never seen a blog that reviews fanfics. Not that I read a lot of blogs myself, but that's beside the point. The fact that in my little knowledge I haven't found a ff-reviewing-blog strikes me as odd (I don't doubt that there are ff-reviewing-blogs) as well as giving me a great idea: If nobody has done it, or if I haven't found it before I'll do it myself.
Obviously I will be reviewing mainly Phantom of the Opera fanfics, but there may be also Twilight Fanfics - I know that the movie sucks, the books lack of good characters, etc. but the Fanfics can be really good - as well as some Harry Potter, Doctor Who and Torchwood Fanfics. The first reviews will be principally POTO - that's short for Phantom of the Opera- because I've fallen again in one of my POTO-obsessed-phases, but as soon as I recover from it, I'll try other fandooms.
My main source of fanfics are fanfiction.net and whofic.com, and I'll link you allways to the first chapter of the ff. If somebody is so kind to direct me to other ff-pages, I'll love it.
As for books - I'll also review books, because books are just so lovable, I can read nearly everything as long as it's not historic. No offense to Dan Brown and Ken Follet, but I really don't like that sort of books and I find it just boring that everything now is historical thriller. I'll also avoid anything containing nazis - or the second world war for that matter. But other than that I'm open to nearly everything from cheesy romantic teenage stories - yes I've read three out of the four Twilight saga books and I didn't find them as horrible as everybody says - to etiquette books - which are just hillarious.
So just give me time and I'll read everything within my grasp.
When I'm reviewing books I'll post the front image as well as a little information available on the Internet. Pittyfully I can't do the same for fanfics, so these will be image-less reviews. Or, maybe I post a related image done by myself.
